Will Be Issued in St. Paul, Saturday, May 17

The United States Postal Service and the Minnesota Sesquicentennial Commission will celebrate Minnesota’s 150th anniversary as the 32nd state in the union with the issuance of the Minnesota Statehood commemorative stamp.

The first-day-of-issue ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, at 1 p.m. at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. The ceremony will be part of the Statehood Weekend Festival scheduled for May 17 to 18 on the State Capitol grounds. The festival will feature exhibits and entertainment showcasing Minnesota people, places and progress.
