Sesqui at the Fair
This year the Minnesota Sesquicentennial Commission has a huge presence at the Minnesota State Fair and we’re thrilled to partner with the fair’s newest attraction, “Old Minnesota: Song of the North Star,” a theatre production by Warren Nelson and Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua-“the Carnegie Hall of Tent Shows.”
This year’s fair is August 21-September 1. Volunteer for us and get these cool perks:

- Sesqui programming in the morning, Old Minnesota program in the afternoon and evening.
- Volunteer in the morning and stay for a show, or volunteer afternoon or evenings during the shows.
- We need volunteers to work as ushers, ground crew, and in merchandise sales.
- Hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon; 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; 2:30 to 6 p.m.; 5:30 to 9 p.m.
- Volunteer as a family and save the price of fair entry.
